The proper application of force
Wavetrac Differentials are taking the performance car market by storm, everyone is giving them rave reviews, when you find out what they do it is easy to see why. They are a revolutionary product that performs in a completely unique way when you are using your car on the limit. Aftermarket differentials are easy to come by and manufacturers are always claiming that their diff will transform the handling characteristics of your car. Wavetrac started with a clean slate though and engineered something that leaves the rest of the market trailing in their wake by addressing the problem that all other differentials on the market suffer.
Zero axle load
During cornering one wheel obviously requires less drive than the other as the distance that the two wheels travel is different. Normal geared differentials are fundamentally flawed in that they use a geared system that seriously reduces or even completely stops the inside wheel being driven leaving it to essentially roll through a corner. These gears are the limiting factor as they can only ever provide a pre-prescribed amount of speed differential between the driven wheels, but not all corners are the same, meaning that you need a differential that can apply constant adjustments throughout a turn.
How Wavetrac are different
Wavetrac diffs have completely changed the market by solving this problem and allowing the drive between the wheels to be constantly altered and eliminating any period of little or zero axle load. By allowing the inside wheel to be driven constantly it is able to help you to power through a corner faster and without any histrionics. Not only will the Wavetrac enhance cornering it also eliminates the negative effects of zero axle load during the switch between deceleration and acceleration by preparing the drive train for when the zero torque period ends, eliminating the delay seen in geared systems.
Will this performance last?
The last thing that you want is to finally get that perfect performance and have it let you down by having poor reliability or build quality, not a problem with a Wavetrac differential though. Designed to cope with high power and high strain these differentials are more than capable of standing up to a lifetime of use and abuse. All interior components are made from high strength 9310 alloy steel and all Wavetrac differentials come with a transferable limited lifetime warranty that is sure to give you that little bit more confidence in using them to their full potential safe in the knowledge that they will not fail.
