We are excited to introduce our front mount chargecooler radiator upgrade, designed specifically for BMW B58 models used in fast road and track applications.

The Challenge
For charge-cooled engines, maintaining a low coolant temperature is crucial for optimal performance. As the engine is tuned or pushed to higher performance levels, the stock system often struggles to maintain efficient cooling. To achieve consistent, lower operating temperatures, increasing the capacity of the system and enhancing its cooling efficiency is key.

The Solution
AIRTEC Motorsport’s upgrade addresses the limitations of the OEM system by extending the radiator forward, as space behind the bumper restricts the possibility of making it wider or taller. By introducing a core that’s nearly 60mm thicker (90mm in depth), we’ve incorporated a triple-pass core design, allowing coolant to pass through the radiator three times before exiting. This modification increases the system’s coolant capacity from the original 7.7 litres to an impressive 23.3 litres—a 203% increase.

This upgraded radiator offers a substantial improvement in cooling capacity, enabling the chargecooler to operate at lower temperatures for longer periods. Despite the increased size, it fits seamlessly behind the bumper without requiring any modifications, utilizing the OEM mounting points and original coolant connectors. A protective stone guard is included to shield the larger core from potential damage.

Finished with a durable, high-quality powder-coated black finish, the kit comes complete with all necessary fittings and a comprehensive installation guide.
